Join our ‘nature is an activist’ hand embroidery workshop to breathe new life into your clothes!

In this workshop led by Roberta Schreyer, a textile artist investigating how the arts can set hope in the climate narrative and encourage social and environmental justice, you will be using discarded embroidery yarn and second-hand materials to upcycle garments from your wardrobe.

The workshop will revolve around the theme of fast fashion waste where participants can share their voices and opinions of the challenges facing the industry, while creating their own activist embroidery. Let’s create a system of care for people and planet, one stitch at a time.

We welcome you to bring along an item from your wardrobe to embroider or purchase a garment in-store.

This workshop is suitable for beginners and we will provide all the materials you need.
