Every Sunday, the hugely popular Alexandra Palace Farmers Market in Muswell Hill is filled with stalls selling delicious local and organic food, while creating a bond between producers and the community. In August, the market offered us an information stall to spread the word about our home collections service and about the development projects TRAID funds.
There is a lot of demand for our service in North London, especially in Haringey, and it was great to have the opportunity to talk in-depth to people about what we do with the clothes donated to us, and our projects. A special mention goes to our organic cotton project in Benin which inspired a lot of discussion with market goers.
It was hot work, so special thanks goes to the Ginger Beer Engineer who gave us amazing homemade blackcurrant fizz.
Thanks to City and Country Farmers Markets for giving TRAID space at the market, we’ll be back soon.
