About Traid
As London’s leading fashion charity, Traid has always been a second-hand pioneer on a mission to change fashion for the better. Committed to reusing and re-homing second-hand fashion, Traid is the only charity dedicated solely to advocating for a better fashion industry.
We fund global projects that support those impacted by the current system, including garment workers, their families, and organic cotton farmers, enabling a future of positive change.
In the UK, we collect and sort second-hand clothes in our warehouses for resale in our London charity shops, giving fashion a new lease of life.
Further afield, we fund organic cotton farming and support garment workers to make fashion fairer for everyone. Everywhere we go, we advocate for a better fashion industry – one where your clothes look good and do good.
To date, we’ve put 233 million garments back into use, saving 628,638 tonnes of CO2 and 106.6 million m3 of water.
With enough clothes on the planet to dress the next six generations, we firmly believe that second-hand should be our first choice. There is always new life in your old clothes, and we’ll do everything we can to find it.
