‘What should I wear today?’
A question all of us at some point have thought about. After trying on your wardrobe and deciding to reach for an outfit that is tried and true, those self-promised “I will wear it one day” garments gaze up at the vignette of another day stuck inside the wardrobe. Unworn.
If you’ve been in a similar scenario, you are not alone, a recent Textiles 2030 report by WRAP found out that 26% of the clothes in our wardrobes are in fact unworn.
But we can change that.
Since 1999, TRAID has worked to keep our clothes in use for longer. We sort and resell clothing in our charity shops and so far have saved over 185 million garments from going to landfill, reducing carbon emissions by 573,660 tonnes and saving 101.9million m3 of water.
Take action with TRAID by having a wardrobe clear out and donate the clothes you no longer wear. We offer several donation streams so there’s bound to be a best fit for you:
Book a free home collection – Greater London residents can donate directly from their doorstep.
Post your donation – this service is available to those outside of London, simply print off your free postage label and visit your nearest Collect + shop.
In-store donations – drop off your donations in-store at one of our 12 London shops.
Find your nearest donation bank – we have hundreds of clothes donation banks around the country, check out our post code finder to see what’s near you.
