Late Night TRAID: Sales Donated to Garment Workers
Join us for a very special Charity Shop Late Night at TRAID Dalston on Thursday 27 April 6:30-pm – 9pm, during Fashion Revolution Week, to mark the four anniversary of the Rana Plaza garment factory collapse which killed 1,133 people.
Show solidarity with the people who make your clothes with ALL SALES on the night donated directly to support garment workers in Bangladesh.
Shop the packed rails for beautiful hand-picked designer, vintage and second-hand clothes, shoes and more for women, men and kids, all to the sounds of our charity shop DJ. Plus, on the night, you’ll also be able to take part in TRAID’s ‘Protect Your Wardrobe Workshop’. Make a moth repellent ‘tea bag’ using completely natural ingredients of herbs and spices, and embroider a message of commitment to cherish the clothes you love. All materials included and you will take home what you make.
Booking for a workshop place is essential as spaces are limited. Book your place here. All money raised from shop sales and workshop tickets will be donated directly to a TRAID funded project in Bangladesh providing day-care, good food and education for the children of garment workers, mostly single mothers. Read more about the project here.
Maria Chenoweth, TRAID’s Chief Executive said, “Show solidarity with the people who make your clothes at TRAID’s Late Night for Rana. Help us fundraise to stop exploitation in the fashion industry by supporting garment workers in Bangladesh and their children.”
