Apply for Funding 2017
In 2017, TRAID will have £280,000 available to fund international development projects related to improving conditions in the textile industry. This year, TRAID is particularly interested in funding:
- Projects where the in-country partner is headed by a woman
- Projects, if they relate to the garment production stage, which focus on second/third tier suppliers or homeworkers
Angela Russ, Head of International Programmes said, “We aim to be brave in our funding so are happy to fund work which is experimental while also funding work which has been tried, tested and proven successful. We have also broadened our funding criteria to include costs that are harder to fund such as salaries, research and any other aspect of work that you are finding difficult to finance and which inhibits the efficacy or impact of your work.”
Thank you to everyone donating their unwanted clothes and shoes to TRAID and shopping in our charity shops. You give us the means to support our international development partners who are successfully challenging exploitation and environmental damage across textile supply and productions chains.
